Your First Visit
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I COME?
What should I wear?
Clothes. That’s our only request. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. Some of our folks dress up, but many show up in jeans. So don't worry about it. Just come as you are.
What is the overall environment like?
We are definitely a friendly bunch here at SCC. We purpose to make you feel welcome and help you connect with God. We understand that going to any new place can be uncomfortable. That's why we want to help you feel at home while you're here.
WHAT'S THE MUSIC LIKE?
We don’t own a pipe organ. We're not that old school. Our music runs right down the middle. Some classic songs, some newer ones. The goal with our music is draw attention to Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
WILL I BE SINGLED OUT IN ANY WAY BECAUSE I'M NEW?
You don't want to feel awkward. We get that.
We won't do that to you. All we ask is that you fill out some basic information about yourself on the white card that will be in your first time visitor brochure. And don't worry about that either. We're not going to bombard you with junk mail and phone calls pressuring you to come back. When you fill out the card for the first time, all you'll get is one simple email, thanking you for coming.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS
Do my kids sit with me?
Our nursery is staffed by loving volunteers who, just like you, want the best for your children. You can drop them off, or if you like, keep them with you during the service.
If your kids are 3 years old and older, they will start out sitting with you during church. About 20 minutes into our service they will dismiss the children to their own area which we call iKids.
GRAB A COFFEE
If coffee is your thing, grab one at The Café. It's open before Sunday services.
